Hi, I'm very new to this and I'm looking to move the database to a brand new server (totally different environment)

1. How do I know where the data is stored? I've done a full search for the 1cv8.1cd file and it has found 1 file (but it says last modified 2013

2. Assuming I find the right file. Can I just copy it and move it to my new server, or do I need to do something else. Thanks

if I understand correctly, you are using the file version of 1C.

In this case, the easiest way to transfer your database to another server is to dump your data into a .dt file, and then deploy the data from this file to a new location.

Look at the screenshots, everything is simple.
