Custom ordering in Dynamic list

We have a string representation of period, which could be monthly, annual etc, so we have a list of some strings. If I try to order by period, clearly I'm getting a mess, it is ordered by string representation. How could I implement period presentation with correct ordering behavior?

You can use date field in the query of the dynamic list and you can set format of it in the way you like, for example only year.
