Hi Marius,
i'm sorry I misled you.
The .lgd is the new log format (SQLite), but .lgp and .lgf are the old text format files.
Indeed, the SQLite format cannot be broken down into periods.
In new versions of 1C, it's possible to switch to the old format of the events log (pls. see screenshot 1).
In older versions of 1C, it's also possible to return to the old journal format. To do this, please stop the 1C server, transfer the file "1Cv8.lgd" to another location, and create an empty file "1Cv8.lgf" in the "1Cv8Log" folder. This will be the log journal in the old format. After that, you need to start the 1C server again, then go to the Designer. And already in the Designer, enable the breakdown of the journal by period (for example, by week). (screenshot 2).
You can also always reduce the size of the log file using the "Reduce size" button.
But note that if you use the new log file format (SQLite), the size of the "1Cv8.lgd" file will not change after the size reduction procedure. This is due to the features of the work of the SQLite. To reduce the size of the file "1Cv8.lgd" in this case, you must use the command "vacuum" in "sqlite3".
You can download the "sqlite3" from the official site "https://www.sqlite.org".
