İder Mobilya improves customer service with 1C:Enterprise 8

Having 25 years of experience in furniture manufacturing and sales, İder Mobilya confidently sustains a brand image of fashionable yet affordable furniture vendor.

Since the earliest days, İder Mobilya directly pursued the "factory–shop" strategy, which is rarely implemented in furniture business. The company constantly expands its product line according to their philosophy "Attractive prices and high quality can be combined", resulting in dynamic corporate growth.

Due to batch production of cabinet and soft furniture in proprietary factories and furniture workshops, İder Mobilya product quality is far above common furniture quality standards.

As of today, the company provides quick and high-quality services that feature furniture design, manufacturing and delivery. This includes 9 manufactures, 13 dealers, 27 stores and 200 sales reps, and 60 warehouses with delivery departments. High sales rates and prompt responses to customer needs are the main factors that maintain the growth of the customer base.

Simultaneously with efforts on gaining better brand recognition and wider reputation as a vendor of high-quality and affordable products, İder Mobilya makes investments in strategic development areas.

To increase the speed and quality of the customer services, İder Mobilya management decided to automate all of the company business processes with 1TÇ:Ticaret Yönetimi+Genel Muhasebe (1TC:Accounting & Trade for SME) application. The application is developed by 1TÇ (Istanbul, Turkey) based on 1C:Enterprise 8 platform and sold by its partner 1TÇ-MERV (Istanbul, Turkey).

The 1TÇ-MERV company task was to automate the following accounting and business processes:

  • purchases and sales;
  • cash operations, checking and POS terminals;
  • customers and vendors;
  • cost of goods;
  • barcode scanning and printing;
  • cost management;
  • Human Resource management (HR);
  • Manufacturing management (MRP);
  • business planning;
  • invoicing;
  • data mining, extended reports with graphic charts.

During the implementation, in addition to the customization of standard application functionality, 1TÇ-MERV developers implemented the following features:

  • Manufacturing process: based on a customer order, a manufacturing order is generated and sent to the appropriate manufacturer. Implemented the option to view the manufacturing status and calculate the costs.
  • Product categories: hierarchical grouping of manufactured goods is available (for example: armchairs, sofas, cabinets, furniture sets).
  • Determining vehicle sizes and types for product delivery. The cargo volume of a vehicle is represented by a value, and each furniture item has a volume value as well, so that the number or required vehicles and their load are easily calculated.
  • Delivery areas and the schedule of delivery trips to those areas are supported.
  • Calculating manufacturing dates and delivery dates based on factory load, vehicle availability, and trip schedule.
  • Mobile application for Android tablets, which is integrated with the desktop application. The mobile application provides the following features: registering orders, analyzing warehouse balances, adding goods, viewing customer and vendor info, adding customers or vendors, and graphical reports. This simplifies the work of sales and executives.
  • CRM features: automatic calculation of delivery dates based on factory load and delivery schedules, viewing reports, registering orders–on tablet computers, generating manufacturing orders based on customer orders, production control, all customer info (such as complaints, requests or discounts) in a single window, goods delivery to warehouses.

The deployed software system supports all business processes (purchases, sales, cash operations, customers and vendors, warehouses, manufacturing, costing, HR, and more) for all company departments, production departments, partners and stores in a single system integrated with the accounting system.
