Hakotrans manages business relations using Intertrans 8. CRM powered by 1C:Enterprise

The Hakotrans GmbH & Co KG is a transport and forwarding company that transports cargo throughout the world, including the sea and air transportation.
Since its foundation in 2008, the company has worked with a large number of partners that is over 250 agents and 3500 customers.

At some stage of business development, it became crucial for the company to cater for the specialized needs of each customer. Therefore, the company managers decided to introduce the CRM module for the Intertrans 8 basic product. All, Intertrans 8 and this CRM module are developed based on 1C:Enterprise, a business applications platform.

The CRM module has been developed by the engineers of Doll+Leiber GmbH and 1C-Rarus mainly for logistics companies, so it can be used as a ready and independent solution or as a supplement to the Intertrans 8 product.

As a result of the combined use of Intertrans 8 + CRM, Hakotrans has gained the unique opportunity of working in an integrated information field, flexibly coordinating the diverse information on partners and customers, their specific requirements and preferences.

The introduction of the CRM system resulted in halving the processing time for incoming orders due to the quick access to the required information about agents and partners along the cargo’s route.

For convenience in working with the information, the system features data import from external sources (MS Excel) and quick search within the database by various criteria.

Apart from the daily processing of contact data and addresses, there is a function introduced within the system that manages mailings to customers, including the distribution of greetings and gifts.

This modification has allowed the company to efficiently interact with large customer base as well as getting up to 15% of additional orders from our long term clients.

Now it can be seen that the CRM software, apart from taking care of the routine work as to searching the required information in the different files, also helps to apply modern technologies for building friendly relations with customers and business partners.
