About IsNew()

Hi.
I have a catalog form.
How do I know that the new record.
IsNew () function does not work in thin client (BeforeWrite);

If I want to cancel previously recorded. I find my record. I list it with query. But I cannot check the new registration status. IsNew() function does not work.
