Minimal 1C Suite / License to Review Legacy Archives

Hi everyone,

We inherited some legacy data in .dt format which we need to review and most likely import into our own enterprise accounting solution.

The plan is to buy 1C for this purpose, but the ecosystem is really complex and we don't know if we need "a client", "a server" or both.

In short, what is the minimal suite of 1C software required to review .dt files?

Dear Arseny,

To take a look at the contents of the infobase whose .dt backup file you have, you need to purchase at least one 1C:Enterprise platform client license.

Then, in the simplest scenario, you install 1C:Enterprise platform, activate the client license, create an empty infobase in file mode (on the same computer where you installed 1C:Enterprise platform), and then restore the infobase contents from the .dt backup.

Dear Arseny, depending on the size of your .dt file you may need to acquire server version of 1c to be able to deal with large amount of data. One of the easiest way to handle your request is to ask 1C consultants to review your data file and help you with data export-import to your own enterprise accounting solution. We can help you with this. Just let as know if you would like to get more help from us at info@rufinor.com

Kind regards,

Many thanks for your replies,

@Vladimir, could you please confirm that 1C:Enterprise Platform + Client you mentioned is the product ID 4601546101945 "1C:Enterprise 8.  1 concurrent user license" available for $200.00 on the online store?

@Alex: sample files I've seen are all under 0.5 GB but we will keep you guys in mind if we find huge files.

Dear Arseny,

Yes, this is it.

Once you purchase the license, you can refer to https://1c-dn.com/library/1c_enterprise_license_acquisition_guide/ to learn how to request and get the license from the computer where you installed 1C:Enterprise platform.

Best regards,
