GL - why empty columns in some cases?

Why in some cases the Currency, Company, and Document columns are left empty?

The system writes a currency only for currency account types - Bank, Accounts Receivable (A/R), and Accounts Payable (A/P).

The Company and Document columns are filled in only for A/R and A/P accounts and this data is used to generate A/R and A/P aging reports and to track payment status of invoices and return documents.
