Creating configurations

To create a configuration, use the standard Eclipse procedure: on the File menu, point to View and click Project. In the wizard, under 1C:Enterprise Development Tools, click Configuration. Then click Next and enter the project name. The root of the configuration tree in the navigator window will have this name. EDT will also create a subdirectory with this name in the workspace directory. The subdirectory will store all of the project files. A project name can contain English letters and numeric characters. It cannot contain spaces. A project name can be different from the configuration name. You have the option to load a single configuration into multiple projects.

Once you click Finish, EDT creates all of the required files in the workspace and displays the created configuration in the navigator window.
