Delivering data in configuration packages

This article describes the standards that apply to data included in the configuration delivery package. All of the listed recommendations are mandatory unless noted otherwise.

If you want to include some data in your configuration delivery package (for example, data for filling catalogs, report settings, data exchange rules, and so on), we recommended that you use formats designed for data transfer (such as XML), and you use the "Text document" template or the "Binary data" template.

Do not use the "Spreadsheet document" template for including data in a configuration delivery package.
