Some applications provide the option to specify the connection speed (the Slow connection checkbox).

If you select the Slow connection checkbox, 1C:Enterprise adjusts its data exchange algorithms to ensure optimal performance. For more information, see Chapter 15. Slow connection mode. We recommended that you select this checkbox when you use a slow connection channel, such as a GPRS modem.
