Could you help me: I would like to add groups in Equipment catalog which should be built on values of State resource in the related Equipment States information register. I was trying to change parent folders for catalog items when the information register record is written, but what if I would like to change the date and see states for beginning of month?

You need to use a Dynamic List. Fill a Query with your catalog joined with information register slice.
Next you go to Settings tab and Grouping tab inside it.
Drag your State field to Grouping fields.
Now you will have dynamic groups which are built on values from information register.
