Client licensing problem

We have a problem with this company
Mac client is having trouble accessing server
our server has SQL 2012 installed
Other Windows Client databases are accessible.
In addition, the database apache is working with web ap.

As far as I understand, you can successfully access this infobase via 1C:Enterprise platform 8.3 Client for Windows, but cannot access it via 1C:Enterprise platform 8.3 Client for OS X.

Is that correct understanding?

If yes, please check that you can at least access the server (m2ksrv) from the computer running Mac OS X: via the traceroute utility and via the telnet utility (port 3389).

Edit hosts file both at windows and mac (but i think only windows is necessary)

@ windows server installation
edit with admin priveledges with notepad

%SystemRoot%\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

1C: Enterprise platform 8.3 Windows can access the SQL Server database on the server without any problems.
However, 1C: Enterprise platform 8.3 OS X client, can not access the database on the SQL server

Our client had the same problem just one week ago. Editing hosts file helped me

For some reason there is a problem in the communication between mac and 1c server on a windows machine in resolving the server ip by the name. But i have not tested whether it was the windows' hosts file of the mac's host file, which helped, so i have just wrote both

I suppose that your apache publication should not be affected by these changes. In other case you can still undo the editing.
