Is XDTO serializing which mentioned in this topic same with XDTO packages or What are differencies?

As indicated in that article, the use of XDTO serialization allows you to easily transform 1C objects into XML, and then perform the reverse transformation from XML into a finished 1C object, for example, a specific product or invoice.
