Hi !
I am new here, just interested about 1C Enterprise.
are there any benefits choosing Windows platform for 1C Enterprise or all features of that system could be also reachable at Linux platform ?

I think about installation for max. 15 users for start, wonder if could be hosted at 1 machine with 1 4-core cpu and 8 or 16 gb memory ? what system should be easier for administration Windows or Linux ? generally I am Windows administrator and SQL server DBA. Is SQL Express database ok to start ? I would like discuss some detailed questions like database size for small company for example after 1 year ?

Thanks,
Kamil

Hello, Kamil!

In general, Linux server is cheaper in hardware but require Linux specialists for support.

MS SQL Express limits the RAM volume to 1GB, so your server with 8 or 16 GB will be used partially.

The database size depends on the daily data volume. Because one can store document scans inside the application and another will not.

Thus, I suggest you first to estimate the data volume.
