Just came Rating: 1 Joined: Jul 18, 2012 Company: Osaka University	Hello! I’m thinking of data synchronization between several infobases. Please tell if value returned by UUID() function of metadata object is unique entire metadata object type or entire application or global? And the second question what is UUID generation algorithm, what is the probability of collision? Thanks in advance.

Active user Rating: 3 Joined: Sep 16, 2011 Company: individual	Hi, Nobuyuki Susumu! UUID() is global uniquie. The number of values is 3.4028*10^38 which is very large to make collision probability very small. Hope that helped.
