On November 13th, 2012, the new PPGI Fujiton factory was inaugurated in the Tien Son Industrial Zone in Tu Son, Vietnam.
The opening ceremony was attended by several government officials, the Party Central Committee, the ambassador of Japan, Japanese investors and other state agency representatives as well as mass-media and business representatives.
Located in northern Vietnam, the new Fujiton plant produces construction materials and was established through direct investment from leading Japanese corporations.
The rigorous management requirements of Japanese investors and the production specifics of Fujiton required that a number of tasks be assigned to 1VS IT specialists and Japanese experts, who will manage the overall production process of the plant.
Despite the obstacles of language, the close cooperation of 1VS and Fujiton specialists together with the customization capability and rapid programming of the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform have allowed the many challenges of this complex implementation to be successfully overcome.
Based on past experience with large implementations, 1VS proposed to use its standard software solution - 1C:All-Round Management 8 (1C:ARM), which runs on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform and meets the plant’s requirements in terms of scale and processes. In addition, the software solution could be used immediately without much further modification.
The solution implements the following main functionality:
The solution is provided with English interface, operates on LAN and can be used remotely over the internet with a web browser.
With the prior testing completed and an optimal management plan made, 1C:ARM was successfully put into operation as scheduled.
Alongside the implementation of the production management solution, the company's accounting department has also successfully begun using the 1C:KE TOAN 8 solution (1C:Accounting 8 Vietnamese version).
At the end of the deployment stage, the data from the production management solution is periodically and automatically transferred to the accounting system.
After 6 months of deployment, the system was put into use to keep up with the accelerating operation the plant.
Mr. Nguyen Duc Long, the Fujiton project leader says, "The 1C:ARM software solution not only helps our company to manage the overall production process, but it also facilitates the processes of order management and production and materials planning. When putting it into use we found that the software was also very suitable for warehouse management, and all management activities fit in the right place automatically. New requirements were appearing during the implementation stage, but luckily the 1C:ARM application was simple to customize, so all tasks were resolved successfully".
