Innovation Accelerated: HiTech 2025 Championship Showcases the Global Power of 1C:Enterprise
The HiTech 2025 Championship, held in Ekaterinburg, Russia, concluded as a landmark event highlighting a broad spectrum of competencies in digitalization and emerging technologies. Among its many disciplines, special attention was directed toward the international track of the Business Process Automation (BPA) competence.
This track brought together top young developers from around the world, with six participants from five nations: Russia, Colombia, Vietnam, South Africa, and Iran. All demonstrated strong technical expertise and the ability to deliver sophisticated solutions using the 1C:Enterprise platform.
Triumphant Graduates of the 1C Skills Camp
A major highlight was the exceptional performance of graduates from the 1C Skills Camp, an intensive training program that prepares developers for real-world automation challenges. Thanks to their strong preparation, two graduates earned the top medals:
-
Cristofer Ordoñez (Colombia) earned the Silver Medal (2nd Place).
-
Thanh Long Duong (Vietnam) earned the Bronze Medal (3rd Place).
These results confirm the effectiveness of the 1C Skills Camp curriculum and the versatility of the 1C:Enterprise platform, proving that structured training enables specialists to master complex automation scenarios in short time frames.
The Challenge: A Deep Dive into the BPA Task
The BPA task at HiTech 2025 was a realistic simulation of an implementation project, requiring participants to combine business logic, financial modeling, and system integration with geo-services and artificial intelligence. The task was structured across four sessions:
Stage 1: Application Foundation and Integration
The first stage required participants to develop a basic accounting application and implement daily integration of a Counterparty catalog between two separate 1C configurations. Key requirements included:
-
Creating the core Clients and Items catalogs for sales.
-
Configuring selective data exchange via an Apache HTTP server.
Implementing scheduled background synchronization with detailed field mapping between the differing catalog structures.
The second stage combined financial logic with artificial intelligence. Competitors implemented debt registration, payment processing, and controls to prevent customer overpayments. The major innovation task was integration with the GigaChat generative model:
-
Sending sales data (from documents like Cash Sales and Sales Invoice) to the AI model.
-
Receiving analytical summaries (e.g., profitable clients, sales forecasts) and managing API access tokens.
Stage 3: Geo-Services and Delivery Calculation
In the third stage, participants worked with the Yandex Maps API. Tasks included:
-
Extending the Items catalog to store delivery tariffs for different distance ranges.
-
Embedding a dynamic map into the Companies catalog form to display client addresses.
-
Adding functionality to the Sales Order document to build a delivery route, calculate the distance, and automatically apply the correct delivery cost.
Stage 4: Business Value and User Documentation
The final stage focused on communication and user experience. Competitors were tasked with:
-
Preparing a client-facing presentation explaining the economic value of their solution.
-
Proposing a plan for the future development of the application.
-
Creating detailed user documentation with step-by-step instructions and screenshots.

Shaping the Future of Automation
The HiTech 2025 task confirmed that modern BPA specialists must excel not only at business logic but also at integrating with APIs, geo-services, and artificial intelligence. The performance of the 1C Skills Camp graduates affirms the growing global relevance of 1C:Enterprise as a platform for preparing the next generation of automation experts.
