Schedler Group’s business is controlled by Intertrans

The transport group Karl Schedler, founded in the South German market community of Jettingen Scheppach in 1984, used to have around 50 freight vehicles used mainly for transporting paper industry products to Central and Southern Germany and to Switzerland. PLS Logistics Services GmbH, founded in 2003, mostly delivered paper to France.

At present, the Schedler Group specializes in shipment of products of the paper industry, as well as logistics for sun shielding equipment and chemicals.

Schedler employees have been using Doll+Leiber’s software for cargo management, route calculation and warehouse management since 2001.

In 2012, due to the growth in business, it became obvious that the functionality of the system has to be developed further. At that time a new version of packaged product Intertrans 8 based on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform has been launched.

It allowed the most up-to-date barcoding equipment produced by Barcotec, one of the market leaders, to be introduced.

The new Intertrans 8 version enabled Schedler to intensify daily warehousing operations, and optimize the full cycle of interaction with the customer, from order registration to its delivery to a recipient.

Warehousing operations are performed 40% faster thanks to the modern barcoding equipment and accounting system which bring together the operations of the warehouse and the freight expedition department.

The 1C:Enterprise 8 platform is flexible and customizable, enabling it to be individually adapted to each business unit, so that the company can take full advantage of its competitive edge. All the configuration work was carried out by highly-skilled Doll+Leiber and 1C-Rarus experts.

Thus, Doll+Leiber proved that Intertrans 8 keeps up with the market and customer requirements, enabling companies of different sizes to automate their business operations and get a return on investment in IT.
