Over the past 16 years of operation, Aeroexpress has transported more than one hundred fifty million (150,000,000) people. In 2020, the carrier’s trains ran with ninety-nine point seven percent (99.7%) accuracy. In the Aeroexpress depot with an area of fifty-six thousand (56,000) square meters, the company services its own rolling stock and trains from other rail operators. Aeroexpress owns a railway terminal at Sheremetyevo Airport. With a total area of more than fifty thousand (50,000) square meters, the terminal hosts one thousand two hundred (1200) rentable units for commercial, office, or warehouse use. Currently, the company is preparing to open a new terminal at Domodedovo Airport.
A suite of applications based on the 1C:Enterprise 8 platform helps the company to carry out its activities.
A key element in Aeroexpress’s management system is the flagship solution 1C:ERP Holding Management, which successfully replaced its foreign-made ERP-system. 1C:ERP Holding Management is integrated with 1C:Salary and HR Management, 1C:Document Management, 1C:Rent and Real Estate Management, as well as a service to exchange legally significant electronic documents, and an automated sales system for commuter rail transportation by Aeroexpress.
1C:ERP Holding Management helped automate planning, limits, and tracking for purchases and expense budgets within responsibility centers. The unified system comprises treasury, procurement management in compliance with the laws of the Russian Federation, contract management, regulatory and managerial accounting, management of mutual settlements with partners, and warehouse management. It enabled job costing of maintenance and repair work for Aeroexpress’s own and third-party rolling stock. The system helps monitor material expenses from works planning to completion.
Rental management of the one thousand two hundred (1200) units in the Sheremetyevo Aeroexpress terminal was optimized. 1C:Electronic Document Workflow ensured efficient interaction with tenants. It improved the monitoring of contracts and mutual settlements. Tenants now receive invoices and closing documents faster.
The system was integrated with a fiscal data operator. Sales accounting and tracking payments for travel documents via various sales channels, including ticket machines, ticket counters, the mobile app, website, and travel agency sales, were automated. Exact information about sales and payments helps the company’s management supervise the successful implementation of the budget, optimize management, and perfect a strategy for interacting with consumers.
Deploying 1C:ERP Holding Management helped the company improve accounting and management processes, reduce costs and speed up reporting, and also enabled a quick switch between consolidated and detailed information for analytic purposes.
As a result, the company’s operational and administrative costs went down by 3%.
An integrated management system built on 1C:ERP Holding Management is helping Aeroexpress adhere to its growth strategy and improve business efficiency.
