Project Description
Project Purpose
The project's purpose was to automate operations of the surfing school located on the island of Bali (Indonesia) to help the school personnel become more efficient and take the customer service to a new level.
With the deployment of 1C:Fitness Club CORP, the school was able to
- automate payroll accounting that covers individual conditions of employees;
- automate the management of schedule;
- automate the management of customer visits and payments;
- automate cashflow and implement cashflow analytics.
State of Things Prior to Deployment
Before deploying the 1C:Fitness Club CORP, Easy Surf had to rely on MS Excel for schedules, customer visits, control of surf package use, and supervision of customer payments. Also, MS Excel was the tool to calculate instructor remunerations. All these calculations and double-checks to ensure everything was correct resulted in high labor efforts.
Handling spreadsheets not only consumed plenty of time and effort but resulted in multiple errors that were sometimes hard to discover.

The Architecture of the Solution and Project Scope.
In an effort to choose the most efficient solution for their automation system, the school reviewed several options, including ones not based on the 1C:Enterprise platform.
The analysis of commercially available products for automation of management and business accounting in fitness centers proved that 1C:Fitness Club CORP can meet the school needs the most.
The project deployment made it possible to automate the following processes and elements:
- Payroll,
- Mutual settlements with clients,
- Training schedule.
Unique and Innovative
Though it is not the first international project entrusted to Axioma Soft, it is the first one in such a remote location as Indonesia's world-famous Bali island, right on the borderline between the Indian Ocean and the Pacific. Due to the location remoteness, we aimed to complete the work quickly and according to top-notch development standards.
The deployment of 1C:Fitness Club CORP enabled automation of payroll accounting, schedule management, cashflow accounting, and school activities management. By putting the system into operation, the school managed to
- Cut the time of payroll calculation by 40%;
- Efficiently monitor attendance of customers and payments for their visits;
- Automate schedule management.
We also customized the product to accept multiple currencies and recalculate the amount into the currency of the account as of the day of payment. Also, we have implemented a solution to exchange data within 1C:Our Company Management that made it possible to collect management reports on various operational activities of the school.
Project Outcome
With the automation solution deployed, the school now enjoys:
- automated schedule management;
- efficient monitoring of customer attendance;
- automatic calculation of payroll;
- tools to manage payments for packages.
Also, with the multicurrency module added, the school can now easily accept payments from customers in various currencies.
