How do I set side panel icons?

I want to set icons to a side panel, so they could be shown on a mobile device.I have set icons tor the subsystems and when I launch the application on a desktop version or on a web application, they are shown.Is it possible to do this in a mobile app?

mobile applications do not support subsystem icons in order to save screen space. However, you can add icons to the functions menu (the menu that is opened by tapping ≡), then it will look much like the sections panel of a desktop applications.
