The 2025 1C International Programming Contest confirmed its reputation as a truly international event in the field of business process automation and IT education. Hosted in Moscow, the final brought together 230 top students selected from over 5,000 participants across regional and national rounds. Participants represented a broad range of countries, including Vietnam, the Philippines, Colombia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, and Russia, making this a truly global showcase of talent.

The Olympiad final task challenged participants with a sophisticated real-world simulation: creating a turbo-mode scheduling system for a virtual supercomputer solving multiple parallel tasks. Each task had strict time limits and could optionally be accelerated using a resource-intensive "turbo" mode. Participants had to process structured input from the 1C system and generate a detailed activation plan that balanced speed, feasibility, and hardware constraints—all within the constraints of an unmodified, competition-specific configuration.

In the student track, where the criteria for victory were adjusted to academic level, Alexander Kharitonov from the Ryazan State Radio Engineering University emerged as the winner, completing over 80% of the task successfully. He received a monetary award alongside his instructor.

A major highlight was the remarkable performance of Cristofer Ordonez from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, who became the first Colombian student to win a prize in the competition’s history. Cristofer earned recognition in the International Programming Olympiad, placing among the top six performers with a score above 60%, thereby receiving an official prize.

Cristofer’s journey is especially notable as he began learning the 1C:Enterprise platform through the 1C Skills Camp international training program and had previously represented Colombia as a finalist at the BRICS Future Skills Challenge. His achievement reflects the growing impact of global educational initiatives aimed at expanding access to high-demand digital platforms.

This year’s final underscored the global relevance of 1C as both an educational and professional platform. The 1C Student Contest continues to grow in scope and impact, offering a launchpad for emerging tech professionals from around the world. In 2025, it became clear once again that talent has no borders.
