Importing configurations

To edit a configuration in EDT, you have to import it. Do one of the following:

  • To import a configuration from a set of XML files, on the File menu, click Import and select 1C:Enterprise 8 configuration files as a source.
  • To import a configuration from a 1C:Enterprise Infobase, in the Infobases view, click Import Configuration.
  • To import a configuration from another workspace or an archive file, on the File menu, click Import and select Existing Projects into Workspace as a source.
  • You can import a configuration from a version control system.

EDT always imports a configuration to a new project. It does not support project merging.

Note that loading a configuration from a set of XML files or from a 1C:Enterprise Infobase requires files generated by 1C:Enterprise Designer (on the Configuration menu, click Dump configuration to files, or use an appropriate command-line option in Designer batch mode).
